I have been operating in the field of electronic hardware and software design for more than 20 years. I acquired extensive and in-depth experience in the field of equipment for aerospace and aeronautical use, participating in the design and implementation of complex systems for use in a variety of areas.

I am able to take charge of the complete lifecycle management of complex projects, starting from the drafting of specifications, to the implementation, prototype or production phase.

I can independently handle hw electronic design assignments, with detailed schematics and component selection, dedicated firmware development for embedded microcontroller systems or programmable logic.

I am a National Instruments certified LabVIEW developer with CLD. I can develop software for automatic system control, operator interface, communication drivers, and any other needs.

Graduated in electronic engineering, specializing in signals and systems, from the Politecnico di Milano.

I am able to deal with complex pcb with all kinds of components, smd, bga, differential tracks with controlled impedance, high speed communication bus, LAN, Gigabit, VPX, AFDX, PCIe, CAN, USB and many others, uC and DDR connection with track length matching.

Component library management with footprint, parameters and 3D. Interaction with mechanical design for importing 2d and 3d drawings for mechanical constraints. Generation of output files of all types, gerber, odb, step, pick&place, dxf etc.

Experienced user of Altium up to version 23, fair experience with Cedence package.

I have extensive and in-depth software development experience on National Instruments LabVIEW platform.

I have used and integrated a wide range of products, measurement and data acquisition hardware, modular instruments, PCI / PXI architecture, process control equipment, PLC integration, and use of sensors and actuators of various types.

Activities

Electronic design

Detailed design of electronic systems and hardware systems. Development of solutions at board, units or complete system level. Electronic design with Altium, Orcad, Cadstar, Kicad and others, component identification, obsolescence management, BOM writing, supplier identification. Prototype assembly, system bring up, enegineering and validation testing. Criticality identification, troubleshooting and alternative solutions.

PCB layout

Experienced PCB layout designer, with layout of over 350 pcbs to his credit. PCB routing of any type and complexity. Multilayer, flexible rigid PCBs. Routing for high speed and signal integrity, communication bus over 10Gbps, differential lines, controlled impedance, length matching. 2D and 3D component library, integration with mechanical cad, generation of all kinds of output files.

Embedded systems
